How To Get NBA All-Star Tickets

Choices, choices, choices. The winter offers a lot of different options for sports fans. The football season is wrapping up, hockey is going strong, and golf and racing seasons are just getting ready to kick off. However, for many sports fans across the country there's only one sport that really matters: basketball.
For those in search of NBA tickets, the one spectacle that everyone wants to be a part of is the NBA All Star Game.
First played in 1951, the NBA All Star Game puts the best players of the Eastern Conference against the best players of the Western Conference for the amusement of the fans. These All Stars are selected by a fan ballot that picks the starters. Then the reserves are chosen by the All Star coaching staff, lead by the coach of the team with the best overall record in their respective conferences at the All Star Break.
The NBA All Star Game Weekend has expanded since the game's inception into an extravaganza including a Rookie Game for first year players, the Three Point Contest, and the ever-popular Slam Dunk Competition. Also, in the hopes that star appeal sells more NBA tickets, the game itself is full of extravagant celebrity cameos and musical performances, which include the singing of the national anthem and a big production halftime show. Of course each event has its own NBA tickets. Casual basketball fans hoping to score NBA All Star Tickets, however, may be out of luck come tip off.
The NBA All Star Game is being held this year on February 18th, in Las Vegas, Nev., the first time the game has been held in a city without a team. For NBA tickets hopefuls, this is great news as there is never a lack of things to do in Vegas, nor is there a shortage of hotels. However, the sheer price of the NBA tickets might be enough to drive budget conscious consumers away from buying the NBA All Star tickets all together.
Buying NBA tickets is usually a fairly budget conscious process, with prices for NBA tickets ranging from the mid-tens to hundreds of dollars for one of the 82 regular season games. However, buying NBA All Star Tickets for the game or any of its festivities comes at a prohibitive price. Since the game is sold out the only real option for fans is to turn to ticket buyers. Competitive online buying sites will have customers paying anywhere from $300-$1,000 just for NBA tickets to the Rookie game. Want NBA tickets for the Slam Dunk Contest and the Three Point Shootout? That will set a fan back anywhere from $1,000-$3,000. If an individual wants to put money down for NBA tickets for the All Star Game itself, prices range anywhere from $3,000-$5,000 and that won't even get seats courtside. With prices for NBA tickets set that high, there doesn't figure to be much scalping at the door outside the event.
Still, if the thrill of getting NBA tickets for the All Star Game is too much to avoid, and fans can't bear to just watch it at home, the NBA All Star Game provides as much action as enthusiasts are going to find in a whole season's worth of NBA tickets. The top athletes of the game squaring off, celebrities at courtside, the top music acts in the world performing concerts before the game and at halftime, and a carnival atmosphere surrounding the whole weekend are all a basketball fan's dream come true. Provided they have a few thousand dollars to get their foot in the door.
